Day 9

Rochester to Culver - 16.5 miles

Rainy with a high of 77

Rochester: Greetings to our 5-day pilgrims as we begin our journey across Fulton County and the Tippecanoe River on our way to Lake Maxinkuckee. We’ll pass several farms and creeks. You might even see a few Amish buggies and horse drawn plows in the fields. Watch for wildlife, especially deer, turkeys, and coyotes. We’ll have many pit stops along the way, and then we will enjoy a buffet lunch at Culver Marina on the lake.

View Fr. Tim Mouton’s reflection on Mind

As I Begin This Day

“We shall always place education side by side with instruction; the mind will not be cultivated at the expense of the heart. While we prepare useful citizens for society, we shall likewise do our utmost to prepare citizens for heaven.”

Blessed Basil Moreau

"And he answered, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.'" -- Luke 10:27
